North West UK new regional meeting - message to local groups

Dear CoDA Family,

we have booked a venue in Manchester for Sat 03.12.16 10:30 - 15:30 as an opportunity for our groups in the north west to form an Intergroup and also to discuss a possible visit from the CoDA Founders to offer a workshop.

Would you be interested in attending or announcing at your meet to invite others to come please? You are most welcome & we would be delighted to see you! We'll have a business meeting in the morn then lunch & a CoDA meeting in the afternoon. Rent is £55 so we would love a voluntary contribution from visiting groups to help us be self-supporting

The address is the Subud House 21 Wilbraham Road Fallowfield M14 6JS

Thank you so much Danielle of Liverpool 07817755503

Public Liability Insurance

CoDA UK NSC is currently looking into the issue of public liability insurance. We would like to see if we can support the groups by providing a group policy for the UK fellowship as a whole.  Any groups who already have experience of group insurance and happy to share their experience please make contact with us at enquiries [at] coda-uk.org

Written Shares on the Website

CoDA UK is inviting members to email in written “Shares” illustrating their experience, strength and hope, with the intention to provide access to them via the website and possibly in future UK published literature. These shares will serve as a helpful resource to aid identification, build awareness and to support our recovery; they may be of particular interest to newcomers and those coming to terms with their co-dependency.

Any member of CoDA can submit a share by emailing it to codashares at coda-uk.org. The shares committee will review and publish selected shares and is particularly keen to receive shares on the following topics:

*             Shares for newcomers (Experience, Strength and Hope)

*             Working the 12 steps/following the 12 traditions

*            Service

*             Sponsorship

*             Healthy meetings

It is suggested that these shares are 1500 words or less, contain no swearing and are written in the first person “I”. When writing the share it is important to consider the "Guide to Sharing" and work within the guidelines.
